Ask The Dentist: Volume 3

For the third installment of “Ask The Dentist”, Natural Smiles Ask The Dentist 3our dentist answers a common question about flossing.

Q. How often should you floss?

A. I recommend flossing at least once a day to help remove plaque from the areas between your teeth where your toothbrush can’t reach. This is important because plaque that is not removed by brushing and flossing can eventually harden into calculus or tartar. It’s important to make an appointment with us every six months, as tartar and plaque build-up on teeth can’t be prevented by flossing or brushing alone.
